A s Orchestra Director of Theater Hagen and son of director Helfrid Foron, cellist Sebastian Foron "grew up in the theater" in the truest sense of the word. His leadership is deeply rooted in this lifelong connection to the stage—drawing on theater’s storytelling and expressive energy to create immersive, musical experiences for audiences.
Bringing both a performer’s intuition and an executive vision to his role, Sebastian Foron curates programming that honors the core Classical and Romantic canon while actively advancing contemporary voices. As a manager, he is committed to building bridges between different audiences, expanding orchestral reach, and championing underrepresented composers who deserve a permanent place in today's active repertoire.
